Fasting
As the body becomes toxic, we often feel sluggish, tired and uninspired. Our bodies are looking for a way to release the stagnating material and return to lightness. Relieving the body from the work of digestion by routinely fasting one day per week is a great way of helping the body regenerate. It is simple to do and the benefits are significant. To prepare, simply have a light salad the evening before you want to fast, include mixed greens and other veggies and avoid croutons or heavy dressings. The sensation of feeling good is extremely powerful so find ways to cultivate this and your liver will be in better shape. Courtesy of Caroline Scott, Nutritionist at Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat
