Ski for Wellness
From March 1 through 9, Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia will once again host Women's Wellness Week with a variety of activities and events geared toward promoting healthy living and active lifestyles.
Recognized as one of North America's leading ski and snowboard resorts, Whistler Blackcomb will offer women-only ski lessons, lift tickets, and equipment rental packages again this March. Other events both on and off the mountain will include ski and snowboard clinics just for women, shopping nights, workshops, spa packages, as well as lectures and sessions on making healthy lifestyle choices. Can't stand upright in the snow? Not to worry—you'll be coached by women pros in a supportive and nurturing environment, regardless of your skill level or experience. On Saturday, March 9, the week's events will culminate with the Grand Marnier Red Party, a fundraiser for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF), a not-for-profit organization that focuses on research and early diagnostic treatment programs in the battle to overcome ovarian cancer. The Red Party will include a silent auction, live music, cocktails, and wine tastings. Proceeds from the silent auction and ticket sale will benefit the OCRF through the British Columbia Cancer Foundation. Accommodations and camps fill quickly, so book early to reserve your space—and don't forget to bring your friends. For more information visit www.ocrf.org, or www.whistlerblackcomb.com/women
