Kohler's New Water Sanctuary

Fans of Kohler Water Spa who live in or travel to the Chicago area now have a shorter drive from home to Highland Fling (an invigorating aromatic treatment that involves a warm Vichy shower, buckets of water thrown on your body, and coffee and mint exfoliants). Kohler, with destination spas in Kohler, Wisconsin, and St. Andrews, Scotland, has opened its first boutique spa at Burr Ridge Center, twenty miles from downtown Chicago.

In keeping with Kohler’s reputation as an industry leader in design and technology for bath (and kitchen) products, the 10,000-square-foot spa highlights water treatments. The Circle of Tranquility (complimentary with spa treatments) features three distinct shower experiences: Envelop—a shower with 300 sprayers and music, followed by a dip in a bubbly twenty-five-foot long whirlpool and waterfall massage; Quench—a shower with six Laminar ceiling flow tubes, balanced by a trip to the steam room; and Deluge—rain water tiles that provide a warm misting, after which you can dry off in the sauna. The spa also has a pool and provides spa food.
