You Are What You Eat!

Melissa Williams, HL&S Editor | Co-Owner, Yoga Junction

Looking to get more Omega's into your diet? Our favorite piece of advice: if you can't eat the fish... eat what fish eat.

I like fish. So does one of my daughters. But the other one is a bit pickier. Although we do supplement her diet with a good quality fish oil, I still want to try to up the omega-3 fatty acids she gets in her daily diet.

If you’re a vegetarian or a vegan, however, taking a fish oil isn’t even on your radar. Looking for more ways to get more EPA and DHA—the omega-3 fatty acids that are good for your heart and brain?

My favorite piece is of advice: eat what fish eat. The fish are full of omega-3s because of their diets.

What do fish eat? Foods from the sea of course!

Try adding algae and seaweed to your diet. You can easily snack on dried seaweed, or crumble it into other foods, including salads or a smoothie. Click here to read about why seaweed is so SENSATIONAL!

Try these surprisingly simple ways to add more brain and heart healthy omega-3s to your diet, they are too easy not to follow.

Need a recipe to help get your started on your seaweed kick? Try the below Black & White Quinoa Timbalewith Wasabi Pesto and Nori Strips, talk about a pretty presentation! And so healthy taboot!
