Disastrous Downside of Commuting!

In the last few weeks, more health risks have been highlighted related to the amount of time spent in the car. Simply put, commuting can wreak havoc on your health.
Obviously, in areas with traffic congestion and traffic, stress is increased with the daily commute.
Add to that the risk of skin cancer in that left arm so perfectly draped out the window, and you’ll start to reconsider how badly you want to get from point A to point B via car commute.
But a new study shows that long commutes may have even worse effects on your health, including that of your heart.
It comes as no surprise that the study showed that individuals who spend more time in the car are more likely to be overweight due to their time spent in the car versus getting exercise. In fact, in the study individuals who worked five miles or less from their home averaged at least 30 minutes of exercise daily, whereas individuals who spent more than 30 minutes in the car commuting averaged significantly less.
But the real significant finding in the study was commuting and the correlation to blood pressure. Ready to read the results and find out what you can do to ease the pressure, so to speak?
