Is your diet making you fat? Diet fads come and go, but unfortunately some portions of these bad diets stick around ...
... Other times, we take what we hear and run with it, making what was once a healthy option into a very unhealthy behavior.
If you’re wishing to truly make a change in your life with your diet, remember this simple adage: calories in vs. calories out.
In the end, what matters is how you balance what you eat with how you move.

Salad may not be the best choice. Oftentimes, salads do not contain enough calories or substance- including protein or fat- to make you feel satiated for very long. At the same time, you don’t want to take a healthy salad and make it a high-calorie disaster with too much full-fat dressing or cheese. When picking a salad, go for one with dark greens, loads of veggies, some protein from either beans or poultry or fish, and a healthy fat like avocado.
