Greens For Disease Control
Melissa Williams, Editorial Director

Earth Day may only be a 24-hour event, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be seeing and eating green year-round
Right now, spring greens—the superstars of the veggie world—are starting to rock the grocery stores.
Dark leafy greens, including Swiss chard, watercress, mustard greens and arugula, help prevent cancer and heart disease and also help with weight loss.
The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) recently ranked the top veggies, and we’ve created a quiz to test whether you’re getting the right produce and the most out of it!
Here’s your first question...
Are you eating the #1 rated green? It has been shown to help prevent breast, colon and ovarian cancer. Click here for your Q & A quiz!
A BIG hip hip hooray to today's tip sponsor and winner of our Earth Day Beauty Awards, we love Alaffia Sustainable Skin Care. Be sure to email HL&S with 'I want my Alaffia' in the subject line for a chance to win their fabulous shea butter curl activating cream.
MMM, spicy odon noodles to go with your greens, why the heck not?! Check out the below delish recipe from our good friends at Lake Austin Spa.
