Miraval, Life in Balance, in Catalina, Arizona, recently announced the appointment of renowned integrative medicine physician, Andrew Weil, as the Director for Integrative Health and Healing. Best-selling author of such books as 8 Weeks to Optimum Health (Knopf, 1997) and Healthy Aging: A Lifelong Guide to Your Physical and Spiritual Well-Being, (Knopf, 2005) Weil is also a clinical professor of medicine, professor of public health, and the founder of the Program in Integrative Medicine (PIM) at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
As Director of Integrative Health and Healing, Weil will create new services and programs for Miraval’s new Center for Life in Balance, scheduled to open in 2007. Starting in 2006, Weil will also be offering Healthy Aging workshops throughout the year. The first is scheduled for January 19th – 22nd.
