St. Barts in the French Caribbean immediately brings to mind yachts, extravagant villas, and gastronomic soirƒ©es. Indeed, the island gem boasts an impressive setting. It can be found within the island interior near the crown of Morne de Vitet, the island’s highest point.

Hostellerie des Trois Forces (Hotel 3 Forces) opened in 1985 as the brainchild of Hubert Delamotte, an esteemed astrologer. Though rustic the seven individual cottages feature private terraces, air conditioning, harmonizing colors, art, and textiles that distinctively reflect individual zodiac signs. After consulting his spiritual guides, Baba and Ma, Delamotte determines which cottage will best suit your current spiritual state. Delamotte hopes to one day build twelve cottages as well as a full yoga center, to better host spiritual retreats.

Formerly a chef at a two-star restaurant in France, Delamotte also feeds the soul and delights the senses through classic French cuisine. With such an array of offerings, it has been difficult to classify this experience, until now. Along with building a stone wall entrance by hand, Delamotte hung a new sign to better convey just what to expect.

When I put the sign up this past December, ËœMystic Spa,’ it occurred to me that we have been doing that for the past twenty years, Delamotte explained.
