Surprisingly, skin care starts with what you put in your mouth. Here are some of our tried-and-true tips for getting beautiful, glowing skin through your diet.

1. Eat your vegetables

We know, you have heard this you entire life. But there is a reason this age old wisdom is passed down from generation to the next. Vegetables are loaded with vitamin C, Vitamin E, cartenoids and flavenoids. Which means they are natures antioxidant! The best for your skin include carrots, beets, avocado, pears, green leafy vegetables, and all berries. Many spas use these ingredients in their facial products.

You can even make an at home facial by taking carrots and mashing it up.

2. More omega-3 fatty acids

Eating foods that have omega-3 fatty acids can help give you a glow.  They will also help reduce inflammation and flare- ups on the skin. Some good choices are organic chia seeds, flax seeds, sardines, fresh water salmon, and walnuts.

3. Drink more water 

Many people are constantly dehydrated and they don’t even realize it. If you feel tired, hungry or moody maybe you need more water. Water helps detoxify the system and cleanse the skin.

Drink organic green tea, which is loaded with anti oxidants. Drink more Kombucha drinks which detoxify the liver. Kombucha tea is rich in enzymes and acids that your body uses to destroy toxins. They help to reduce the load on your liver, which in turn will help to promote beautiful healthy skin.

4. Brush your teeth

Yep, you read that right. Brushing our teeth can help improve your overall health for many reasons. One you will have clean fresh breath, which can improve confidence. People who brush their teeth regularly usually practice other healthy habits and they feel more confident. When you smile your teeth our whiter and this can make your face glow.
