I don’t know about you, but wheat bran is not something I particularly enjoy eating on its own. In fact, it’s not something I like eating in anything where I can taste it! (I am a season girl – everything must be doused in flavor)
So I found a way to sneak this fiber-rich food into my diet: smoothies! Each morning, I mix in a half cup of Bob’s Red Mill unprocessed wheat bran (I love this because it’s all natural) with some frozen fruit, OJ, vanilla lowfat yogurt, a banana, and a scoop of peanut butter. The wheat bran blends right in so I can’t taste it, but I’m not forgetting my daily dose of fiber. Try it!
