Colors affect our moods, helping us feel more calm and even more stressed. But there are a few general rules of thumb to consider when coloring your life:

Blue

Blue waves are considered cool, which have a calming effect. Painting a room blue or green is a good way to evoke feelings of relaxation and happiness. However, most foodies will tell you to stay away from blue in the kitchen it can make food less appealing. (But perhaps a good way to diet?)

Reds

Warm tones, including red, yellow and orange provide energy. Have a job interview? Wear a warm color. Warm colors make you appear strong and poised just make sure the pattern isn’t obnoxious or you’ll appear self-absorbed.
