Go Red for Women

The American Heart Association's women and heart disease campaign, Go Red for Women is urging and inspiring women to wear red on National Wear Red Day, February 4, 2005. This annual event hopes to draw attention to the number one killer of women in the United States, heart disease.

To participate, join a wear red fundraiser at work, shop for Go Red fashion items at AmericanHeart.org, or wear a red dress pin. Last year more than $1 million was raised through the National Wear Red Day fundraiser. Look to the sky for even more inspiration to join the cause. Cities across the country will Go Red in February, illuminating buildings and national monuments in red light. This year the Sears Tower, St. Louis Arch, Seattle Needle, and others will be bathed in the hopeful red hue.

For more information contact the American Heart Association at AmericanHeart.org.
