Fitbit Review – Why Every Step You Take Makes A Huge Difference

Here follows my Fitbit Review:

The more steps I take, the closer I am to my daily goal of 10,000. Each step is effortlessly tracked with my new Fitbit Review flex. All I have to do is get out and go.

Throughout my day, I am more focused on fitness, not as routine, must-do, but as a fun way to live my life more fully and actively. Every movement I take is effortlessly logged into my little device, from spin class, elliptical, trampoline, to walking around the block with my dog and even resting. Yes sleeping is accounted for.

It’s not just my daily activity, but my patterns in bed are tracked. My sleep patterns have even improved thanks to my Fitbit flex. It tracks your sleep activity at night. All I have to do is set it to go to sleep mode from my iPhone app. When I wake up, I look at the activity to see how well I ACTUALL Y slept.

For example, last night I slept for 8 hours and 2 minutes, but I had 7 minutes of awake time, (rolling over, going to the bathroom, getting up for water, etc.) and 37 minutes of restless sleep. This means I actually had a little more than of 7 hours of quality sleep.

Knowing how you sleep can affect your entire day. With good reason, the National Sleep Association reports sleep is just as important as diet and exercise.

Fitbit believes being fit is a lifestyle and every part of your day counts toward being healthy and happy. My life has radically changed since I introduced the FitBit into my daily routine. BF (Before Fitbit) I wasn’t always so motivated. But now AF (After Fitbit), I look forward to every workout, every dog walk, every opportunity to move my body.

Ten thousand steps a day is encouraged, this is an active lifestyle. The great thing about the Fitbit is every movement is tracked. I was dancing in my car at a stoplight when my wrist started to vibrate. The Fitbit vibrates gently when you reach your daily goal. I hit my daily goal and felt a sense of pride and accomplishment.

The Fitbit TM Flex is one of three different wireless activity trackers.

The Flex comes in one of ten bold bright colors. (Hot pink is my favorite.) You can buy accessory packs to pick different colors depending on your daily mood. Fitbit has revolutionized the fitness industry because it keeps fitness on your mind.

Fitbit users take 43% more steps than they did before using the device. I know for me, my focus is on how to make fitness fun. Before the Fitbit, it sometimes felt like torture to go to the gym or get on the yoga mat. After a stressful day, I really just wanted to take a hot bath and crash. But now that I wear this little device around my wrist, it is a little friend, encouraging me to keep going.

I was hesitant to get the wristband. The Fitbit one is a small clip-on you can put in your pocket or hide away. But after trying the wrist Fitbit Flex, I can’t imagine using a different one. The Fitbit Flex wristband is the only Fitbit that tracks active minutes each day. While the Fitbit One tracks stair climbing or elevation, I realized tracking active minutes was more of a motivator for me.

When it comes to wearing the wristband, I didn’t want to display to the world that I am trying to get back into shape. But surprisingly, everywhere I go I see fellow Fitbit friends with wristbands around their non-dominate hand as well. The wristband is a declaration of self-love and respect. We wear them proudly, because we are committed to our health and to reaching new goals.

The tracking is effortless. Put the device on your wrist and continue on with your day. Users can set goals, calories, steps, active minutes and the device will vibrate when you hit your daily goal.

During the day, it tracks steps, distance, and calories burned.

Fitbit FLEX TRACKS:

  • Steps taken
  • Distance traveled
  • Calories burned
  • Active minutes
  • Hours slept
  • Quality of sleep

Powered by Fitbit’s leading-edge accelerometer, Flex bases calculations, like calories burned, on your personal profile — reflecting your stats that are unique to you. The application on your smartphone is super easy to use. All you do is open the app and it updates throughout the day!
