To apply mineral makeup, use a soft bristle powder or kabuki brush that blends across a large area without concentrating too much powder in one place. To be sure that your brush carries the perfect amount of minerals, swirl the brush in a small amount of mineral powder, working powder into the bristles, then tap off any excess. Using a circular motion, sweep the brush across your face, blending well. Apply additional light layers if you need more coverage, or concentrate the powder in one area that needs concealing.
If your skin tends to be dry, the experts at Alima Pure recommend misting water on your face as a finishing touch that enhances luminosity and moisture balance.
If you’re a regular mineral makeup wearer, you’ll want to clean your brushes regularly to eliminate skin oils and bacteria. To wash your brushes, add a little natural cleanser to a bowl of warm water. Swirl the bristles of your brushed in water for 2 minutes, being careful not to wet the handle, which could damage the brush. Pour out the soapy water and fill with plain warm water and swirl brushes around for 1 minute to rinse. Repeat this step again with fresh water if needed. Shake off excess water and lie brushes flat to air dry- and resist the temptation to squeeze them!
