In case the palm trees and sandy beaches aren’t enough to put you in a tropical frame of mind, the Four Seasons Resort Maui has revamped their spa menu to include a new inventory of treatments based on Hawaiian culture and legend. Besides boasting authentic Hawaiian names, each indulgent therapy incorporates island ingredients such as volcanic ash and cocoa butter, plus the scents of fragrant island botanicals “including sandalwood, mango, pineapple, papaya, and citrus. New offerings include a variety of Cocoon Treatments, each of which allows spa guests to relax within a cushioned, floating bed suspended in water. One of these treatments, called Wai Aulia Graceful Flowing Water, includes a soothing, floating massage. Also on the menu is the ËœIli A’ia’i Gemstone Healing Facial, which utilizes a blend of quartz, tourmaline, and amethyst; and the Ke’Anuenue Rainbow Body Wrap, complete with Hawaiian lehua honey, cane sugar, and macadamia nut oil.
