A DIY Grapeseed-Based Moisturizer for Dry, Winter Skin

0

Particularly in the winter when your skin becomes dry, consider switching to an oil-based moisturizer that is packed with vitamins, absorbs quickly and is easy to make at home. You can use it on your body and face. I use a two ounce travel spray container to control the release of the liquid.

Mix 1.75 ounces grapeseed oil – a natural emollient and carrier oil – with 8-10 drops rosehip seed essential oil and 2-3 drops lavender oil. The rosehip seed oil encourages skin cell renewal and is a great and gentle healing agent. The lavender is astringent and antibacterial, and makes for a delightful scent. Shake well before each use. I prefer to coat the face and body in the evening so that the oil absorbs fully. In the morning, your skin will feel like a baby’s bottom! I began rubbing this mixture into a gnarly scar on my elbow and after a week has gotten much lighter. Let us know how it goes!
