Inspired by the architecture of some of Europe’s greatest cities, including Prague and Salzburg, the Arrabelle at Vail Square offers guests modern amenities and a stunning spa, while still honoring its Alpine heritage.
Located just steps from Vail’s Eagle Bahn gondola, the Arrabelle is truly a ski-in resort, offering guests a winter escape without the hassle. Have your butler coordinate all of your needs, whether that entails bringing your poles and skis to the lift, booking reservations in the hotel’s Centre V restaurant, or scheduling activities for the kids. Regardless of how you choose to spend your active hours, be sure to unwind at the Arrabelle’s RockResort Spa.
Upon entering the spa, you’ll notice the simple, yet, warm environment featuring various shades of terra-cotta, blue, and green. Along one wall an elaborate sculptural water feature, lined with wooden abstract skis (carved from ash), reminds you of your sophisticated, Alpine location. The spa utilizes environmentally friendly materials, including bamboo cabinets and recycled porcelain tiles, in conjunction with such modern touches as iridescent Italian glass mosaic tile and marble floors to complete the “Mountain Modern” effect. Treatments focus on regional ingredients as well as skier’s needs, including the Backcountry Journey, an 80-minute ritual that begins with a body scrub and wrap featuring cedar, dandelion, black clay, and espresso, which is followed by a scalp and full-body massage. Gentlemen’s treatments include the Arrabelle Gentleman, a facial that helps soothe skin that has been exposed to winter’s harsh elements.
After your trip to the spa, head to Centre V for comforting brasserie fare. If the weather is nice enough, sit outside on the slopeside patio and watch as the skiers make their final runs down the mountain.
