It is summer which means gorgeous, glowing skin – or maybe not. Is your skin flaky, dry or sunburned? These powerful at-home recipes can change that fast. Grab your apron and head to your kitchen. It is time to whip up some natural, beautifying skin treatments. I like my ingredients to be sustainable and organic, which is why these treatments work.

Have fun and enjoy the working properties of these three wonderful masks. If you’re allergic to any of the ingredients or you feel uncertain about using them on your skin, consult with your physician.

Lavender toothpaste

If you are sick of commercial toothpaste or you are looking for little ways to cut back finically, making toothpaste can be a fun project.

  •  1/2 cup of baking soda
  •   1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide
  •   1/4 cup of warm water
  •  Lavender drops (4-6)

Mix together until it is a paste. Store in an air tight container for future use. Keeping your mouth clean can be fun when you make toothpaste yourself.
