Bamboo-zled

There’s nothing deceptive about the ecological benefits of bamboo. It’s not only durable and renewable (bamboo can be harvested annually seven years after it is planted), but bamboo can be used in everything from flooring and furniture to linens and clothing. Try Baltic Linen Company’s Obi towels, a silky and absorbent 60/40 blend of bamboo and cotton that are available in an array of vibrant colors. Bamboo linens have become so popular that major retailers like Bed, Bath & Beyond and Linens ‘n Things now respectively offer 230-thread count 100 percent bamboo sheet sets and a bamboo duvet. If you like the feel of bamboo, check out Bamboo Textile’s line of bamboo clothing, including their all-natural, dye-free tee shirt. Heat Up Your Home
More and more people are looking to incorporate the healing and preventative benefits, as well as the luxury and indulgence, of spas into their homes. In addition to the detoxifying benefits commonly associated with saunas, Far-Infrared (FIR) sauna therapy can also alleviate pain, promote weight loss, normalize blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and reduce stress. Try Sunlight Saunas’ portable Solo model or select a more traditional cabin-like sauna from their Ra and Phoenix lines. Sunlight’s traditional saunas not only incorporate FIR therapies, but are plywood-free to eliminate off-gassing and feature steel conduit shielding to protect against electromagnetic fields. Promolife offers a FIR thermal heat sauna bag as well as a portable one-person FIR dome, and SaunaRay features affordable and easy-to-assemble cabin models. Be sure to verify the voltage requirements of the sauna as home upgrades can be expensive. In addition, stay hydrated, follow the accompanying instructions, and consult your doctor before using. An Easier and More Natural Way to Clean
Although house cleaning will always remain a chore, recent innovations from ACT Natural have made the endeavor a lot less tedious. ACT, more importantly, has achieved this while taking the chemicals out of cleaning. ACT’s products, which are based around the incredibly fine ACT-tex fabric, include dusting cloths as well as ergonomically designed mops. ACT-tex fabrics work either independently, by attracting dust and particles through static electricity, or with water through a process known as capillary action, during which the forces of adhesion, cohesion, and surface tension work to remove dirt and grime.
True to their name, ACT Natural’s multipurpose cloths can be used for everything from dusting your television to degreasing your stove, all without the toxicity of chemicals or the waste of paper towels. Use the multipurpose cloths dry for dusting or damp for deeper cleaning. Challenging the versatility of the multipurpose cloths, ACT’s mops come in two adjustable sizes, offer interchangeable heads, and can clean walls and ceilings as well as floors. Both the dry and wet mop fabrics attach to a Velcro pad on the mop’s head, making them quickly and easily interchangeable.
Perhaps the only thing easier than cleaning with ACT-tex fabrics is cleaning them. A lightly used cloth or mop can be cleaned by simply shaking it out or rinsing it in warm water. Heavier-soiled cloths and mop heads can either be boiled or laundered separately with a mild detergent. The only challenge that remains may be coming up with an excuse not to clean.
