Looking for sunburn relief beyond aloe? Look to your fridge and your beauty cabinet for natural remedies that will turn get rid of the red.
Rosehip Seed Oil
The antioxidants and essential fatty acids in rosehip oil help to rehydrate parched skin and heal sun damage. It’s a go-to oil to use after your burn and for weeks to come to erase those sunburn regrets!
Green Tea
The tannic acid, theobromine and antioxidant polyphenols in green tea are all major sunburn-soothers. Apply cooled green tea to your burns, and sip it for extra anti-inflammatory, UV-protective benefits.
Calendula
Apply a calendula balm (like this year’s Earth Day Beauty Award winner from Myron‘s Goods) for extra hydration and instant calm.
Yogurt
Cooling, soothing yogurt calms burns, hydrates and takes away the itchy, hot feeling of asunburn. Apply it alone, or mix it with aloe vera gel for extra relief.
