- Cinnamon
Do you love sprinkling cinnamon on top of your chai latte or eggnog? It’s one of our favorite spices that tastes oh so fantastic. There are many benefits to cinnamon including raising metabolism so you can lose weight.
A lot of studies show that cinnamon can regulates blood sugar, making it a great choice for diabetics. If you want to stabilize energy levels in your body and regulate your mood try adding more cinnamon into your diet.
Ladies if you feel intense menstrual pain it has been known to calm uneasy symptoms. Cinnamon has a natural chemical called cinnamaldehyde, and many studies show an increases in the hormone progesterone and decreases testosterone production in women, this helps to balance hormones.
Many spas and healing centers use cinnamon as a calming agent. It helps relax the muscles and soothes the soul. Restaurants also dress up their menus often switching to a holiday inspired menu to celebrate the season.
- Eggnog (With A Healthy Spin)
Many people the world over just wouldn’t consider it a proper holiday season if they didn’t have some eggnog to enjoy it with. But these days, the eggnog you buy in the stores is so full of processed sugar and chemicals, that it’s getting harder and harder to justify buying it, even as a cheat on a clean eating diet.
But I’m here to tell you that all is not lost. This recipe is not only clean, it’s low in fat. And of course, this frees you up to switch your “cheat” from the eggnog to the brandy you might want to add. Ya, even I’m guilty of that one!
