Does this sound like you, “I’m so mad, I can’t believe this happened again, this is not how I planned it, I hate how much I let myself go, I can’t believe he did that etc?
If you been playing a familiar tune in your head of self-deprecating reruns it’s time to shift gears and focus on empowering yourself instead of being down on yourself!
Life is full of ups and downs and part of moving into a state of peace and joy is embracing the lowe’s as well as the highs.
In order to do that, you have to stop beating up on yourself. Here is easy ways to make more out of your day and embrace the good times and the bad. Forgive yourself first and foremost don’t be so hard on yourself learn to relax and forgive yourself.
Remind yourself that everything is going to be okay and it always works out in the end. Worrying about the future or being stressed out about the past does not help any situation. Instead just know that you were doing the best you can and every moment you have the opportunity to change.
If you didn’t work out for a few days you don’t have to go on an eating binge, instead you can just go for an extra long walk with your dog or take baby steps to pull yourself back into a healthy state.
When we beat up on ourselves mentally we actually hinder our ability to get back into a healthy place so instead, choose positive thoughts and focus on the good things that you are doing.
Instead of focusing on how much you screwed up just focus on the good things that are happening and be grateful for all of the wonderful things that are happening in your life.
Taking care of yourself is one of the easiest and fastest ways to pull yourself out of a rut. A couple weeks ago I was feeling lethargic, I had not worked out in over a week, I wasn’t getting enough sleep and I realized I needed to put myself first.
I immediately put myself on a detox plan which included taking a long hot bath, drinking green juice, and brushing my teeth three times a day as well as catching up on missed health appointments, like visiting my dentist, for a routine cleaning. Dr. Jordan, a Dentist in Tigard, OR, suggests that you brush your teeth after every meal and snack to feel better and more clean.
If you find that you’re feeling out of sorts or frustrated because things are going the way you want just simply stop, take a moment out, breathing deeply in and relax.
Chances are the frustration will soon pass. Learning to relax into the moment is one of the ways to be happier now.
