holiday main dishesI love Christmas, mainly for the food. But whilst many households are chowing down on turkey leftovers for the days that follow the festive period, I can’t stand turkey. It’s dry (although to be fair, my mum has never won an award for her cooking, just sayin’) and I kind of eat around the slices of meat on my place. I just don’t really dig it, y’know? And for some of us, as traditional as turkey is, we just want to eat something a little different this year. Whether you’re simply bored of turkey or you’re looking to surprise your guests with something new and exciting, then we have 8 delicious holiday main dishes to enjoy this Christmas, all of which are much better than turkey!

So, whether you’re looking for a fishy main, a meat main or you’re catering for those vegetarian or vegan guests, then we’ve got 8 recipes to bring to the table this year!

1. Salmon coulibiac

Ditching turkey this year? Why not bring something totally new to the table by dabbling with this salmon coulibiac. This is at the top of my list of lovely holiday main dishes to serve up if you have guests who aren’t meat eaters, or who prefer to eat fish; it makes Christmas a little more versatile.
